Open the Knowledge Base
1. Go to the Knowledge Base.
2. Click the Search button (under the Ticket List button).
Search the Knowledge Base
Specify search keywords and other search parameters. Click Search on the top right side of the SpeedSearch screen.
Tip 1: Use Specific Keywords and Search Method Options
When searching for information about a particular application window, enter keywords from the window name and the application name. Use commas to separate multiple keywords. Leave out words like ‘and’, ‘or’ and ‘the.’
Use Search Method options to specify if the results should include all or at least one of the keywords. To display results containing all keywords, set the Search Method section to ‘Match on all words (AND).’
If you do not see the Search Method section, click the Advanced link to the right of the Keywords field.
Tip 2: Use the Look In Options to Narrow Your Search
Control where in SalesLogix the search is executed using the Look In check boxes. For example, to search only in the Standard Problems area, deselect all Look In check boxes except for Standard Problems.
